Solar Panel Battery Charge Controls
Sol-Go offers a selected range of advanced solar battery charge controls, based on experience in the US and Europe, with marine, leisure and commercial vehicle users. The units Sol-Go has selected are sourced from reputable manufacturers, with well established brands that meet all required product safety certifications.
MPPT type (max power point tracker) charge controls can deliver 10-30% more power from the same panels, due to advanced battery charging algorithms and microprocessor control. This is especially useful in vehicles or boats where sunlight exposure can change quickly. With MPPT controls it’s possible to connect high voltage panels to lower voltage battery banks. The models offered include load control and various settings accessed either with an LCD display or Bluetooth communications for use with a mobile phone app.
PWM type (pulse width modulated) charge controls offer good value for small and budget installations. While they lack the ultimate battery charging efficiency compared to MPPT type controls, PWM controls benefit from lower prices. The Sol-Go selection includes basic controls with dual battery charging capability, premium types with LCD display, load control and also waterproof models for more challenging applications.

EPever MPPT Charge Control XTRA With an LCD display, XTRA models also have a current limiting function, so you can connect 1.5 times the rated power to the controller. So a smaller controller can be used with more panels for better power in winter or low light without risk of overloading in the summer. The output will be limited to the max listed above.
XTRA controls can be connected to the Tracer Bluetooth Adapter and mobile phone App.

The range of SmartSolar controls maximise energy-harvest, to achieve full battery charge in the shortest possible time. The charge algorithm maintains battery health and extends battery life.
Provides remote control and system monitoring functions with built-in bluetooth pairing to a smartphone or other devices via VictronConnect.

EPever Waterproof PWM Charge Control LS-EPD
EPever waterproof controls are supplied with 150mm output cables and bare wire ends. These can be fitted with MC4 connectors or wired directly into a vehicle battery box. The single button allows access to settings, with LED indicators to show status.
